I am a young Muslim artist and entrepreneur with interests ranging from film & photography, to fashion. As a child of both middle eastern and western cultures, I strive to represent the broad tapestry of Muslims and Islamic life in all of my work. That said, I love when I can bring a note of authenticity to my work. Any time I am able to cast any Arabic speaking people for Arab characters, or the way I was able to cast south Asian women in my thesis film, Henna, is a win for me. In the future, I would like to work on films where the story isn’t necessarily adjacent to me but are focused on aspects of my own personal narrative.
